Bringing Teach For America's Presence
to Life at SXSW EDU
Cropped is a modern short hair salon seeking investment to grow and expand its vision. The founder approached me to transform an information-heavy pitch deck into a clear, compelling story that could confidently communicate the brand’s potential.

APPROACH & RATIONALE
The visual system translated the Reinvention Lab’s existing brand into an energetic event experience using bold typography, vibrant colour, layered textures, dynamic shapes, and expressive imagery. Workshop photography was woven into the designs, while playful illustrated treatments gave social banners and digital invitations a distinctive character.
The system extended across retractable and navigation banners, step-and-repeat backdrops, room signage, flyers, tent cards, social media banners, digital invitations, and motion assets, creating a consistent visual experience from pre-event promotion through to the physical space.
IMPACT
The cohesive visual presence helped draw attendees into the space and encouraged interaction, with event assets becoming part of the experience as attendees stopped to take photos in front of the banners. Social and motion assets also supported pre-event awareness, contributing to increased foot traffic and on-site interest. The project became the start of a two-year design partnership, expanding into additional brand and design support.
THE DELIVERABLES
Retractable banners, navigation banners, step-and-repeat backdrop, room signage, blueprint flyers, tent cards, social media banners, digital invitations, and motion assets.
